ADMISSIONS

We will admit children in order of priority based on whether they have any siblings at the Nursery and then the date of registration on the waiting list. A place on the waiting list does not guarantee a place at the nursery.

One term's written notice is required when withdrawing a child from school or one term's fees in lieu.

Admission Process

1. Familiarise yourself with the Montessori philosophy

Before scheduling a visit, review the information found on our website and determine whether a Montessori education is suitable for your child.

2. Schedule a visit and an observation of the classroom

Please call or email us to arrange a visit and observe the classroom in operation. Observations are usually 45 minutes in length and one or both parents may attend.  The visit will allow parents to see the classroom in operation, check out the outdoor area, meet with the Head of School and experience the atmosphere and special relationships that take place.

3. Complete a waiting list application

To place your child’s name on our waiting list, a form must be completed and submitted along with a £25 non-refundable fee.
The waiting list form will be emailed to you once you have indicated interest in a space:

4. New child’s visit

If your child’s name has been placed on a waiting list and there is a space available we will invite you and your child to visit the nursery and meet with it's teachers.  There are no academic requirements to enter our programme and the visit is an informal process which will enable the Head Teacher to observe your child working with the materials and interacting with their peers.

5. Registration

Following your child’s visit, we will invite you to complete an on-line registration and associated terms and conditions. To hold a space for your child, the form must be completed and submitted before the admission date. Also a deposit equivalent to the monthly session fee must accompany the contract and this will be deducted from the final fee that your child attends nursery. However, please note that the deposit is non-refundable in the event that you decide not to enroll your child.
Forms  are completed online and will be sent to you by email following the initial visit but prior to an offer of a place.

6. Home visit

As part of our ‘settling in’ program, we will arrange for a home visit to be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for you and your child.  The teacher will observe your child in his home environment and ask questions to better understand his needs, developmental patterns and interests. It will give you an opportunity to address any concerns and learn more about the Montessori curriculum.

7. Return Required Forms

The completed  and signed registration, emergency contact, emergency medical, dietary, photo release and visit forms should be returned to us before your child starts school.
